Trusted By Thousands Of Aussies Every Month

CashPal is a licensed direct lender that operates solely in Australia. Unlike many namesake services found overseas, CashPal.com.au is a genuine, regulated lender that abides by Australian credit laws. The purpose of this page is twofold. First, to explain clearly who we are, how our lending works, and what customers can expect when they borrow from us. Second, to clarify that numerous loan apps and websites using the CashPal name in Nigeria, Ghana, India, Tanzania and elsewhere are not associated with us in any way.

This clarity is important. For Australians seeking safe access to credit, confusion caused by scam apps and fake websites can be costly. By setting out the facts, we hope to empower borrowers to make confident, informed choices and to avoid misleading alternatives.

How CashPal Loans Work

CashPal offers small personal loans that are applied for online and processed quickly. The process is designed to be transparent and accessible, with every stage explained to the borrower.

Application Process

The application form on our website usually takes less than ten minutes to complete. Customers are asked for personal information, contact details, employment and income information, and banking details. This allows us to conduct a responsible assessment of affordability.

Instead of uploading documents, applicants give secure read-only access to their recent bank statements. This streamlines the process while keeping personal information safe. The use of electronic bank feeds also ensures accuracy.

Assessment and Approval

Every loan application is assessed with care. The process involves looking at a person’s income, day-to-day expenses, and any existing debts. A credit check is usually included as well. These checks are not just red tape; they are required under Australian lending laws and are designed to prevent borrowers from taking on debt they cannot manage.

When an application is approved, the customer receives the loan contract electronically. The document sets out the repayment schedule, the interest charges, and the total cost of the loan. It is provided in advance so borrowers can review the terms in full before making a decision. The emphasis is on clarity: customers know the cost and the conditions up front, without hidden catches.

Receiving Funds

Once the agreement is signed, funds are transferred to the nominated bank account. Depending on the applicant’s bank, the money can often arrive on the same day. For many Australians, this speed is critical when facing unexpected bills or short-term financial gaps.

Eligibility and Requirements

CashPal loans are not available to everyone. As a licensed lender, we must ensure applicants meet specific requirements.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. They should be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident. Lastly, they need to have a regular source of income paid into their bank account for at least 90 days

Centrelink Applicants

We do consider applications from Australians who receive Centrelink benefits. These are assessed in the same way as all other applications. The key question is whether repayments can be made comfortably given the person’s total income.

Information and Documentation Needed

Applicants must provide:

  • A valid government issued ID
  • A working email address and phone number
  • Access to their recent bank transaction history

This information allows us to verify identity, confirm income, and conduct a responsible lending assessment.

Loan Amounts and Terms

Minimum and Maximum Loans

Our loans range from $500 and go up to $5,000. The exact amount you’re approved for will depend on your personal situation. We look at your income, your credit history, and how the repayments fit within your budget. The aim is always to make sure the loan is affordable, so you’re not left struggling down the track.

Repayment Schedules

Think about the way you get paid. If your wages land weekly, your loan repayments can follow the same pace. If your employer pays fortnightly or monthly, the loan can be structured around that instead. Matching repayments to pay cycles keeps things steady and predictable, which makes budgeting easier.

Costs of Borrowing

Every CashPal loan includes interest and fees, all of which are disclosed up front. The total cost, including the schedule of repayments, is shown in the loan contract. We do not add hidden charges or sudden penalties. Transparency is central to our approach.

Unrelated “CashPal” Entities

The name CashPal is used by a variety of unrelated services across the world. Many of these operate without regulation and have been linked to exploitative practices. To avoid confusion, here is a breakdown of the most prominent examples.

Nigeria Illegal Loan Apps

In 2023, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in Nigeria ordered the removal of 37 illegal loan apps from app stores. CashPal was one of them. These apps were flagged for harassment of borrowers and for operating without approval.

Facebook Pages

Nigerian Facebook pages advertising CashPal-branded lending also exist. These are not connected to CashPal.com.au and should be treated with caution.

Ghana

MB CashPal

There is an app and website called mbcashpal.com operating in Ghana, and it is important to clarify from the outset that they are entirely unrelated to CashPal.com.au. According to their homepage, mbcashpal markets itself as a “safe online loan” provider in Ghana. It promises that applicants can complete their registration in just three minutes and receive loan funds in as fast as five minutes.

CashPal Pro App

CashPal Pro is promoted in Ghana as an online loan app. It offers loans between 100 and 3,000 cedi, with interest rates charged daily. Contact details point to a developer in Nigeria, confirming no link to Australia.

Instagram Promotions

Promotional posts on Instagram claim to offer CashPal loans in Ghana. They provide Ghanaian phone numbers and promise instant funds. None of these are connected to us.

Facebook Pages

Several business pages on Facebook use the CashPal name in Ghana, claiming to offer student, business and personal loans. Again, none are affiliated with CashPal.com.au.

India

Loan Apps on APK Stores

Third-party app platforms in India list CashPal-branded apps that claim to provide short-term loans. They often require Indian residency and list local business addresses. These are unrelated to us.

Scam Warnings

Cybersecurity groups in India have identified CashPal-branded apps as examples of predatory digital lending. They warn of excessive interest rates and misuse of customer data.

Tanzania

Delisted App

A CashPal loan app appeared on Google Play in Tanzania offering loans between TSH 10,000 and TSH 600,000. It has since been removed. It was unrelated to CashPal Australia.

Other Uses of the Name

Budgeting Apps

In the Apple App Store, there is a CashPal budgeting tool. It helps users track spending but does not provide loans. It has no link to us.

Gaming Apps

Another mobile app uses the CashPal name for a program that pays users for playing games. This is unrelated to financial services.

Key Point

None of these apps or services are connected to CashPal.com.au. The only genuine CashPal is the licensed lender based in Australia.

Staying Safe From Scam Apps

Scam loan apps often ask for permissions to access personal contacts, photos, or text messages. They may send aggressive reminders or shame borrowers publicly if payments are late. High daily interest rates are another red flag.

Protecting Yourself

The safest way to borrow is to use established, licensed lenders that are listed with ASIC. To stay safe

  1. Check the licence – Confirm the lender holds an Australian Credit Licence by searching the ASIC register.
  2. Use official app stores – Only download financial apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play, never from third-party links.
  3. Read the loan terms – A licensed lender will display all fees and repayment conditions clearly before you commit.
  4. Verify contact details – Make sure the business provides a proper website, phone number, and support channels.
  5. Trust your judgement – If something feels rushed, unprofessional, or “too good to be true”, do not proceed.
  6. Report scams – Flag suspicious apps or websites with ASIC or AFCA to help protect others.

Why Choose CashPal.com.au

CashPal.com.au is the only official website of CashPal. We are regulated under Australian law and committed to transparent, responsible lending. Any other CashPal is an imitation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who Can Apply for a CashPal Loan?

Anyone aged 18 or older who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident with a steady income can apply. We also accept applications from people on Centrelink if repayments can be managed responsibly.

Loan amounts range from $500 to $5,000 depending on circumstances. The amount approved is based on income, expenses, and ability to repay.

If approved, most customers receive their funds on the same day. Delays may occur depending on the receiving bank.
